Reassured by doctors’ reports, a feeling is growing that Mr. Osachi Hamaguchi, Prime Minister of Japan, who was shot in the groin on Thursday, will steadily recover, although he is not yet out of danger. The vernacular newspapers emphasise the necessity of precautions preventing such murderous attacks, which not merely endanger statesmen but are a stigma on national prestige.
