THIEF BARGAINED WITH OWNER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Nov. 17. Although only 29 Clifford Nelson Double was to-day declared a habitual criminal by Mr. Justice Smith when sentencing him to three years’ imprisonment concurrent on charges of breakir entering and stealing jewellery valued at £4O and corruptly bargaining for a. reward in consideration of his assistance in recovery of the stolen property.
