PIG HUNTER SHOT IN KNEE
CARRIED MILES TO AMBULANCE. By Telegraph.—-Press Association'. Wellington, November 17. ' R. Clapliam, who had been shot in the knee, through the accidental discharge, of a companion’s rifle, had to be carried several miles down the Orongorongos before reaching the ambulance yesterday morning. z Clapham, with several others, was pig shooting when the rifle of one of the party was discharged accidentally, the bullet’ entering Clapham’s leg behind and coming <out through the knee cap. He was placed on., an improvised stretcher and carried through the bush, tc- the nearest road, where he picked up by the ambulance. -
