' The action arose out of a kiss snatched from Miss Darcy by another dancer., Slavinsky, on the deck of a steamer between Rangoon and Penang. Miss Darcy alleged that Dandre aspersed her character and did not allow her to perform.
Pavlova gave' evidence in broken English that she had the highest regard for Miss Darcy’s character.
