WHITELEY BUTTERFLY FAIR
RESULTS OF BABY SHOW, The generous patronage accorded the Whiteley Methodist Butterfly Fair, conducted by the Ladies’ Guild and helpers, resulted in net takings of £145 for the two days. Keen interest was maintained, throughout. The principal event 1 of yesterday was a baby show in which 42 mothers entered their children. Mrs. D. Blackley was the judge. The results were:— Baby under six' months. —Mrs. J. Harris (Moturoa) 1, Mrs. V. Simonson (Gill Street) 2, special, baby bearing No. 15 (name unknown). Between six and 12 months.—Mrs. C. Wilson (Mt. Edgecombe Street) 1, Mrs. T. Dick (Dorset Avenue) 2, special, Mrs. Les. Berg. Twelve months to two years.—Mrs. Haggerty (Brooklands Road) 1, Mrs. Hoyland (Avenue Road) 2, special, Mrs. D. Nelson (New Plymouth)!. A A special prize for the champion baby of the show was awarded Mrs. H. Russell (Westown).,
