GENTLEMEN v. PLAYERS. < As the Inglewood cricket team yesterday had ‘a bye a practice match, Gentlemen v. Players, was played, and resulted in a win for Players by one run. At one period Players had 10 yuns •to make to win and six wickets in hand. The match was a 13-a-eide one. Gentlemen batted first and scored 68, of which McNab (11) was the only one to ( reach double figures. In the bowling Duncan (three for six),- Sutherland (five for 17) and G. Barry : (three for nine) were the most sueqesflful. Players replied with 69, Allen (33) /making a great stand and hitting four fours. Peacock (13) also reached double figures.
