': ■ "These eleven secrets are headed by personal appearance and charm, i which are an outer expression of just wha,t f* you are inside. Dress and manner- are distinctly o'bserva'ble, and you are rated mentally by all whom you meet at the j first glance; but it is not eo much what another rates you as what you rate yourself that counts to yottr ’iiic- , ■cess.” J ' Mr. Holmes stated that reading, learning poems and having a fund oi stories add to individuality and increased the outer personal appearance. He placed' mentality, knowledge and alertness under one head and warned. against allowing "sw.ellitis” 'to overtake the maii who has these qualities, but at the same time advising all to be well prepared for tljeir work in hand. Among the other topics of the Ucturc , were originality, imagination, purpose in life, persistency and faith. ‘‘The man . who suceeds will be that one who .has faith faith and. confidence in himself, based upon an exact knowledge of what lie is. Faith in the tinies know? irrg there are good times and Ixid'timeG only to him who is weak or tovhisp , wW is strong; faith in, people, withqjt .whieli man can no longer live; others are?hs honest and as upright as you, in yottr dealings with them, permit thpm t 6 be; faith in your investments, meat means an opportunity tUw^M, financial success. Without this-opportun-ity, all men would be doing the same work, and none -.would ever reach the heights of independence in a financial way; all of which are faith in an overruling power which through 1 man is expressing- in terms of objective being.” The subject' for to'-njorrow afternoon is “The Secret of Power,” at 2.30, and the evening lecture.at-8 is. on “Healing.--, 'Without Medicine.” . ’
