FOUR NEW LAWS PUT THROUGH, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In the Legislative Council this afternoon the Land Laws Amendment Bill was reported from the Lands Committee with minor amendments. The Bill was put through all stages and passed. The Native Trustee Bill was read a
second time pro forma and referred to the Native Affairs Committee.
The Local Legislation Bill was also read a second time pro forma and referred to the Local Bills Committee. ~ The Tramways Amendment Bill, the Slaughtering and Inspection Amendment Bill, and the Census Postponement Biff were put through alj stages and passed The Council rose at 4.45 p.m; 2.39 p.m. on Tuesday..
