ANGLO-SOVIET DEBT CLAIMS
NEGOTIATIONS IN LONDON. British Wireless. Rugby, Oct. 10. The Anglo-Soviet Debt®’and Claims Committee, which held its third meeting to-day, issued the following communique, as unauthoritative statement* have appeared in some newspapers: The committee states that at a second meeting with the Soviet delegation they submitted a list of their claims under rreneral headings, gave an explanation of these claims, and answered questions put to them by the British experts regarding the distribution of these claims among the respective sub-committees. The British delegatibn Submitted their general list at the third meeting, which devoted its attention to comparing these two lists in order to formulate the exact scope of the work ofthe sub-committees. It was-suggested that a fifth sub-committee should. be formed to which should be submitted the Soviet claims for compensation, for remissions to the State and national economy of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, arising out of the intervention of Great Britain in Russia during the civil war.
