“ATTACK ON PURCHASING POWER.
RAILWAY TRADESMEN PROTEST.

Wellington, Last Night.
The following resolution passed at a meeting of the New Zealand Railway Tradesmen’s Association conference sitting in Wellington: "That this eonfereneb is of opinion that any combine for the purpose of price fixation of any retail goods is a pernicious attack on the purchasing power of the salaries and wages of the workers. .. The executive council of the association this afternoon interviewed the Minister, when various aspects of the Royal workshops staff were discussed. Several Commission’s report as concerning the other matters of importance were laid before him. The Minister promised to give a considered reply as soon as possible.
