CAPTAIN MASEFIELD WINS

|By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. Rec. 10.30 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 16. The second stage of the King’s Prize under the auspices of the National Rule Association took place to-day. The New Zealand marksman Captain W. N. Masefield won, “the Philip Charley” eon’ditions, ten shots at 600 yards, obtaining Masefield’s score was 49. He received £5. The second was Armstrong (Victoria) and the third 'Pinkerton (New ■South Wales), who also scored 49. The best Masefield could do in the first stage of the King’s was 96. In the Prince of Wales match, the winner of which was Shearim (Sydney) with a score of 102, followed by Wilesmith (Junes!) 102, and three scores of 101, the conditions were seven shots at 300, 500 and 600 yards.
