CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS

WESTOWN SCHOOL BALL. DESCRIPTION OF COSTUMES. . The children of the Westown school were in very happy mood for their annual fancy dress ball in St. Mary’s Hall, New Plymouth, last night. The hall was crowded with children dressed in many varieties of original and clev-erly-designed costumes. No prize-win-ners were selected. At half-past nine, after two yuid a half hours of enjoyment, the young folk were very reluctant to leave the floor to the older ones. The ’hall, which had been arranged by members of the staff, a ladies’ committee and other friends, was a great success. Miss Simpson and Miss. Kir--, ton playccj the piano and Miss Ross £he violin for the dancing. Mr. A. V. Gilbert was master of ceremonies.
