QUARTERLY MEETING HELD. . ? J ' ■■ f ■ . The quarterly meeting of the New Plymouth Methodist circuit was held at Whiteley Church last night, the Rev. Clarence Eaton presiding over a good attendance of officers. A fairly satisfactory financial statement was submitted, and Mr. J. T. Griffin presented a report upon Sunday School work in the circuit, . A discussion followed and excellent reports were given in regard to the young people’s work throughout the district. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Wells and Mr. Mark Barnitt were appointed circuit representatives to the forthcoming Synod to be held in Hawera next month. Reports in regard to home and foreign missions were received and arrangements made for the holding of Home Mission Sunday next Sunday, when the Rev. A. J'. Seamer and th® Maori party are to visit New Plymouth. It was decided to hold the next quarterly meeting on January 20, 1931, at Whiteley Church. .•■ ■-.•■■
