DAY OF MOUNTAIN ROAD RACE. — • ' The competitors and horses entered for the horse-jumping events at the New Plymouth racecourse on the day of the mountain road rate are as follows:— Maiden jumpers’ Competition (silver cup first; selected prize second). —.1. McKenzie, Jack the Ripper; E. Rook, Side Shot; R. L. Powell, Lorna Doone; Henry laiaka, Tin-o-pai; K. Bedford, Lady Dereske; C. Honeyfield, Civility and Silvermine; Roy Hookham, Dick; D. Stockman, Michael Shimose; R. Foreman, Razor; Mrs. D. A. Whitehead, Irene; A. Hill, Tony. Open jump (silver cup and selected prize).—Miss E. Hicks, Passport; Miss E. Coles, Parakura; Miss Hazel Coles, Nimblefoot; Miss Mary Cole, Ginger and Huirangi Girl. The 12 maiden jumpers arc al.so entered for this event. gentlemen riders are: A. Cole, J. Loveridge, Peter Cole.
