Rec. 7.50 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 2. The Australian team which competed at tho Empire games reached Sydney to-day. The manager, Mr. Weir, paid a tribute to the Aorangi’s gymnasium which enabled the athletes on board to keep absolutely fit. An attempt would bo made, Mr. Weir said, to induce the United States runner Simpson, who would be visiting NewZealand, to come to Australia. Simpson was -willing 1 provided the-New.
