SEPTEMBER RAINFALL. September of this year was one of the driest Septembers experienced since the train fall has been registed in the town. Towards the end of the month, however, southerly squalls accounted for most of the rainfall. . The total fall for the month was 5.62 inches, with rain on 17. days and the heaviest fall on the 28th, when .85 inches fell. For the corresponding month of last year rain fell on 14 days, with a total of 6.29 inches. T]ie average fall for September is 8.93 inches.
