SEPTEMBER RAINFALL. September of this year was one of the driest Septembers experienced since the train fall has been registed in the town. Towards the end of the month, however, southerly squalls accounted for most of the rainfall. . The total fall for the month was 5.62 inches, with rain on 17. days and the heaviest fall on the 28th, when .85 inches fell. For the corresponding month of last year rain fell on 14 days, with a total of 6.29 inches. T]ie average fall for September is 8.93 inches. The wettest September experienced was in 1925, when 15.18 inches fell on 26 days, and the driest was in 1922, when 5.15 inches fell on 12 days. Dr. T. H. A.
