‘ SUCCESSFUL BALL HELD. > (From Our Own Correspondent). i Tho annual wind-up ball organiset , by the spinters and bachelors of Kai , mata was held in the hall on Tuesday evening. It was a . great success, tin ; receipts amounting to about £22 10s Among those present were Misses E Herlihy, floral satin; R. Trass, blue crepe de chine and silver lace; N. Hunt pin' spotted net; D, Bishop, pale greei satin and silver lace; I. Herlihy, scarlet satin; E. Egarr, pink taffetas and net; M Larmer, blue crepe de chine and lace E. Knolllock, pale green satin and net: B. Jones, pink taffetas and net;. J. Bishop, blue satin and net; E. Dobson blUv crepe de chine; M. Nicholls, blue crepe do chine; M. Fabish, scarlet satin: F Meston, black satin; B. Nicholls bottle green satin; K. Larmer, pink satin; L Loveridge, creme satin and net; I. Wilson, green lace; Hoskins, lemon satin and net; M. Potroz, pink tafletas; A. Dunali, orange frilled net; M. Harris, yellow lace; T. Potroz, blue taffetas and silver lace; H. Mischewski. yellow lace; Mrs. L. Dobson, green georgette. The novelty dances were won as follows: Monte Carlo fox-trot, Miss R. Trass and Mr. E. Bocock; .lucky spot waltz; Miss B. Jones and Air. R. Adlam; Monte Carlo waltz, Mr. D. Drake and partner. Mr. N. Bracegirdle acted as muster of ceremonies. The committee responsible for the great success achieved were Misses 1. Herlihy, E. Herlihy, E. Dobson and E. Khofflock, Messrs E. Bocock, N. Bracegirdle, S. Clarke, B. Burkett And D. Dobson ‘ Miss E. Egarr and Air R 1 Klenner were joint secretaries. Mrs. and Air. Ron. Trass have returned home after spending a few days with Airs, and Air. E. Trass, Kaimata. Miss E. Morton, Hawera, is the guest of Airs. Blanchard, Norfolk Road. Air. A. Rowe, Auckland, has been the guest of Air. and- Mrs. Theo. Knofflock.
