fund for Widow and children. APPEAL TO TARANAKI PEOPLE. People throughout Taranaki are asked to contribute to the memorial fund which is being raised for the widow and three infant children of Mr. Lance V. Uib3C-n, who sacrificed his life in rescue work on Mount Egmont on August 3, 1930. The appeal has been organised by a committee set up at Stratford, where -Mr. Gib; son lived, and is supported uy : local bodies throughout the province. The Taranaki Daily News will be glad to receive contributions at its New Plymouth, Hawera and Stratford offices, and each amount -will be acknowledged in the newspaper. CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED.
