MAORI REFORM GATHERING
ADDRESS BY MR. J. G. COATES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Taiiniarunui, Sept. 26. The annual gathering of SQO natives at To Koura Pa at- present has taken on a political aspect in view of the Western Maori by-election. They are mostly supporters of the Reforin candidate, Taite Te Tomo, and influential natives present include the Maori King, Te Rata, the Maori princess and Taite Te Tomo. Yesterday the Hon. J. G. Coates spent the day at the pa and addressed the natives" in the Reforin interests.
