WORK OF TARANAKI AGENTS. ANNUAL MEETING OF INSTITUTE. The twelfth annual meeting of the Taranaki Real Estate Institute was held in New Plymouth last night. In the absence of the president (Mr. A. Grant) Mr. L. A. Nolan presided. In moving the adoption of the annual report, Mr. Nolan stated that in spite of outstanding subscriptions the finance was satisfactory. Business during the past year had. been satisfactory, though not up to expectations. The Taranaki branch had been well represented by Mr. Morey at the annual conference of. the New Zealand Institute. Tho president of the institute, Mr. T. Gill, had visited Taranaki in March and had pointed out the wisdom of joining the institute. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. J. Sutherland; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. A. Hewitt, N. Hill and C. Morey; secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. L. Humphries; auditor, Mr. J. S. S. Medley; executive, Messrs. E. L. Mason, A. Yarndley, W. E. Williams, J. S. S. Medley, F. Barnitt, A. Grant, M. T. Phillipa, S. W. Whyte and ’H. W. ffVhitcombe; judicial committee, Messrs. J. Sutherland, W. A. Hewitt, N. Hill and C. Morey; delegate to the annual conference, Mr. C. Morey. The advantages and obligations of membership were explained by Mr. Morey, who read and explained the rules drawn up for the institution of the New Zealand institute. -■ / . A sub-committee consisting, of Messrs; I. Kidd and W. A. Hewitt was set' up to peruse the rules on the Taranaki branch’s behalf and refer amendments to the executive before taking the matter to the institute. An invitation is to be sent, through the Taranaki delegate, for the next conference of the institute to be held at New Plymouth.
