MATCHES AT WAIWAKAIHO LADIES RETURN GOOD CARDS. RESULT OF QUALIFYING ROUND. Perfect weather favoured the commencement of the Now Plymouth Golf Club’s ladies’ championships yesterday, when the qualifying round was played at Waiwakaiho. Miss Dell and Mrs. Russell led the senior division with fine rounds of 85. The latter had a great chance at the 15th, but failed at the last three holes. Miss Smart, Miss Shaw and Mrs. Nicholson also returned cards in the eighties. Among the juniors Miss Webb returned" the splendid card of 85, equalling the efforts of the best, of the seniors.
