CYCLE RACING AT WAITARA
LAST RACE OF FIRST SERIES. The Waitara Cycle and Athletic Club’s final road race of the first series was run yesterday afternoon. A junior and a senior race had been arranged,. but owing to a paucity of entries in both classes through counter-attractions both classes combiner! after a re-handicap raced to Tikorangi school and back. Following are the results :— G. Topless, 4min. 30sec., time, 2smin. 54|sec., 1. E. Worsup, 4min. 30s?c., tijpe, • 26jpin. 54 4-ssec., 2. ' . G. Tuffery, smin., time, 26min. 57- 3-5 sec., 3. . . . Also started:—L. Claffey scr., E. Oliver 30sec., Whitehead 7min. Following arc the winners of points prizes:—Juniors, G. Topless (14 points); seniors, E. Oliver (13 points).
