LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS

TARANAKI TOWN BOARDS. NOMINATIONS RECEIVED. The following nominations have been received for the election of representatives to the respective town boards. As the required number only have been nominated for the Manaia Town Board no election will be necessary and those nominated are duly elected. As the number of candidates for the position of representative of the Manaia town district on the South Taranaki Power i Board exceeds the number required an ; election will be necessary. This will be held on Wednesday, September 17. For the Kaponga Town Board ten nominations have been received, and as there are only seven vacancies an election will be necessary. The nominations are:— MANAIA TOWN DISTRICT. Manaia Town Board. —Arthur James Christie, Leonard Charles Harrison, Henry Mead, William Herbert Robinson, Harry Symmans, Vernon Francis Winter, Alfred Henry Yarrow.
