Important decisions made by the Queensland Government arc that Government employees shall be exempt from the operations of awards for the year./ The State income-tax exemption will be reduced from £250 to £l5O. A railways superannuation scheiiie will be brought into operation. Consideration will be given to the question of exempting the gold mining industry from the operation of awards and that the millions of acres of land reelaiihed from the prickly petlr shall' be opened for selection at attractive rates, providing it is ilfade productive in five years.
