(®rom Our Own Correspondent.) A very painful accident befell Mr. Rnn. Trass last week. While he, was splitting wood a piece of steel off the wedge lodged in his eye. He is now in the New Plymouth hospital. A committee comprising Misses E. Herlihy, E. Dobson, E. Knofflock, I. Herlihy E. Egarr and Messrs. S. Clark, N. Bracegirdle, E. Bocock, D. Dobson and R. Klenner has decided to organise, the smson’s annual “wind-up” ball to be held next month - . . , Air. G. Mackie is m the New Plymouth hospital. , Miss Clarice Bocock, Stratford, is spending her holidays in Kaimata. Airs.-J. Fraser, Huiroa, is the guest of Airs. Len Dobson. Airs. Richworth, Wellington, is , the guest of her mother, Airs. G. Mackie. Aliss Instone has returned home after a holiday in Auckland.
