PAY THEIR OWN EXPENSES

■ • DENTAL KVIiSES' CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The first conference of New Zealand State dental nurses wan opened- at Wellington to-day by the Minister of Health, the Hou. A. J. .Stallworthy. The gathering is notable in that the nurses are paying their owu expenses, '■having arranged the conference in or- , der that questions relating to their work might be discussed. Mr. J. L. Saunders', director of the division of dental hygiene, will act as chairman during the conference, which will con- • elude on Tuesday. Nearly 70 nurses are attending fromall parte of the country, and they were the guests of the Minister at lunch today? He congratulated them on their initiative in arranging the gathering and expressed the hope that the desire to make it an annual fixture would be realised. . *" Numerous papers will be read by rilfrses and addresses will also be given by Dr. Ada Patterson, director of the ißehool niedieal division, Mr. B.
