Fox Movietone, will be finally'screened nt the Regent, New Plymouth, to- ■ night. Two great Broadway musical - ■ stars', J. Harold Murray and Norma Terris, are co-etarred and are surrounded by an . all-star cast, which includes such well-known players as Myrna Loy, - Douglas. Gilmore, Robert Edefeon, SteC 'pirr.Fetehit, Charles Morton and George • - MacFarlane. It tells of the colourful ■’ .ToV'e affair between “Cameo Kirby,” a river boat gambler and “Adele Randall,” aristocratic daughter of a wealthy Louisiana planter. There is a splendid supporting programme. “SUCH MEN ARE DANGEROUS.” “Such Men are Dangerous,” Fox Movietone sophisticated drama, based on Elinor Glyn’s story and embracing more intriguing twists than any previous offering from her- pen,- is the main ■(' .attraction, on the new programme cpm- ’■ m'enting at The Regent to-morrow at 2 p.m. 'and 7.45 p.m. The leading roles are .portrayed by Warner Baxter, and Catherine Dale Owen, and their support includes such well-known screen personalities as Albert Conti, I-Tedda Hopper, Claude Allister and Bela Lugosi. 1 EVERYBODY’S TALKIES •‘CARELESS AGE” FINALLY. “The Careless Age,” finally showing at Everybody's talkies, New Plymouth, to-night, is adapted from John van Druten’s sensational stage play, “Diversion,” and deals with the hectic love affair of a young medical student and a sophisticated actress. Douglas Fairbanks, junr./is cast as the boy, and Carmel Myers portrays the actress, while Loretta Young plays a beautiful young English girl. A splendid allstar cast is seen in the picture, including Holmes Herbert, Kenneth Thomson, Doris Lloyd, Wilfred Noy and Ilka Chase. The story has a background of London and the Continent. Some very spectacular settings were provided for the production. “The Careless Age” is said to be one of the out--standing dramatic screen stones of the year. The supporting programme includes Movietone News, “Crysta 1 Cave Revue” (singing and dancing short), Rathe Sound News, Audio Review and Willie and Eugene Howard (vocal and patter comedians).
