FINAL OAONUI DANCE
ENJOYABLE FINAL FUNCTION. •C' The bachelors’ committee at Oaonui held the final dance of the season on Wednesday, when a good attendance of dancers participated in the enjoyment. Many travelled long distances. Henderson's Star Band played pleasing and popular numbers and the programme of modern dances arranged by Messrs. J. McFie and R. Seeker was greatly enjoyed. The Monte Carlo fox-trot was won by Miss D. Hingley and Mi J. D. Robertson and the balloon dance by Miss Norcross and Mr. A. Moverley. During one of the dances a shower of numbered tickets fell from a receptacle suspended from the ceiling, the couple securing the prize-winning ticket being Miss M. Crofskey and Mr. C. McCullum. Supper was served urder the supervision of Mesdames Ibbotson, Wilson, Barrett and Willers and Misses E. and M. Zurcher. Extra dance numbers were played Ky Miss N. Hotter and Miss McCandlish.
