A nift-eage from Lima (Peru) stages that Auguste Leguia, who has ruled Peru under a virtual dictatorship for 11 years, has resigned and fled towards Panama aboard a cruiser. A military insurrection started a week ago in Southern Peru and spread like wildfire under the leadership of Colonel Sanchez Gerro. There was no fighting at Lima, but four citizens were killed.
