ROMANTIC ENGAGEMENT
SHIPPING MAGNATE’S DAUGHTER. London, Aug. 19. Miss Alice Vestey, niece of Lord Vestey, meat and shipping magnate, is engaged to Mr. Harold Clegg, of Southport, an officer on board the Avelona Star, in which ho first met his fiancee while dho was travelling to South America. The acquaintance was continued on later voyages. Miss Vestey takes a very active interest in her uncle’s luxury fleet. She is artistic and has been - responsible for many ideas for the decoration of the Blue Star liners.
