JUDGMENT IN CIVIL CASES. Judgment by default in tne followin undefended civil claims was given by Mr. R. W. I’ate, S.M., in the New Plymouth Court yesterday; Elizabeth Mary Bayly v. William T./M. Walsh, £9 (costs £1 10s 6d); George Ward v. Victor H. Hodgson, £9 Us Id (£1 10s Cd); L. Ba venstock v. P. £1 7s (9s); same v.’G. Yardley, Ila 9d (9s); W. Harris v. T. Todd, £4 17a (£1 5s Cd); R. Whale y. Williamson’s Motors, £32 10s 9d (£4 Is Cd); Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Ltd. v. J. W. Moore, £3B 18s Id (£4 Is 6d). J. W. Faulkner was ordered to pay , P. R. Munro £6 4s 2d with costs 15s 6d, in default six days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as the debtor pays 5s fortnightly. J. Boulton was ordered to pay R. A. Bent £2 8s 9d in default two days’ imprisonment. . ■ : The magistrate again reserved his decision in the case of a claim for £2O compensation for the death of a Jersey cow belonging to William Ireland while on the property of James W. Brumby, the parties being‘'neighbouring farmers on Barrett Road;
