GROWTH OF PRODUCTION
DEVELOPMENT AT. PEMBROKE. RESULT IN TEN YEARS. “This discloses a position of which we may all feel proud,” .said Mr. W. Power, secretary of the Pembroke Dairy Company, in presenting a, table showing the steady development of the company since its inception in 1918.. He reviewed the company’s operations and remarked that the cost of manufacture had consistently decreased until it was now about as low as could be expected. The position of the company, he said, was due to rigid economy in administration. Pembroke had always been a high grading factory. In fact, one year it had been able to effect a sale by agreeing to a stipulation that should tlie grade fall so also would the price. The price, he added, did not fall. Speaking personally, Mr. Power said he had been associated’with the company from, the beginning and knew of its early troubles. However, those were now matters of the past arid he looked forward with confidence to seeing Pembroke put out over 500 tons- this season.
