FOUND BESIDE GAS STOVE
J-TUEXOS DISCOVER DEAD BODY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Grantley Norton, a well-known Christchurch business man, who lived at 41 Cashel Street, was found dead in an empty house at New Brighton yesterday. He was lying near a gas stove, which was turned on. Norton, who had been missing for several days, called on a New Brighton laud agent on Friday, saying that he wished to take a house. The agent gave him the keys to a house. He later returned the keys, saying that he would take the house and would call for the keys again. Between 1 and 2 o’clock yesterday .some friends arrived at the agent’s office inquiring after the missing man. The agent gave them the keys to the house, and when they arrived there they found Norton lying dead in the rear of the house.
