PAN-PACIFIC CONFERENCE
DOMINION DELEGATES ARRIVE.By Telegraph—Pres# Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Honolulu, Aug. 8. The Australian and New Zealand delegations to the Pan-Pacific Women’s' Conference under the auspices of the Pan-Pacific Union arrived this morning and were met by Drs. Sweet and Osborne, and- Miss Jean Begg. They left immediately as guests of the conference executive for a 100-miles drive around the island. Later they were the guests of the Chamber of Commerce at hinch in Cooper’s * Inn Ranch, and to-night they will attend a reception by the Governor and Mrs. Lawrence Judd. After the opening of the conference to-morrow morning delegates in the afternoon will attend a lawn party. On Sunday afternoon a reception will be tendered in the research institution, and in the evening they will be present at a public meeting which will be addressed by Dame Rachael Crowdy on the social and welfare work of the League of Nations.
Eight countries are represented at the conference and there are 80 overseas delegates.
