RICH GOLD FIND
STRIKE IN MOLYNEUX RIVER. There has been considerable excite* ment at Roxburgh and Alexandra over what, states a Dunedin report, is reported to be a rich gold strike on the Molyneux River between Alexandra and Roxburgh on a part of the long stretch of river held by the Molyneux Electric Gold Dredging Company. It is stated that three Alexandra youths, when the river was low last week, set to work and washed up 560 z. of gold for four days’ work. Unfortunately the river rose rather quickly and their claim had to be abandoned for this year.
