AID FOR FLAXMILLING
SUBSIDY ON WAGES SOUGHT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 7. A joint deputation of employers and employees in the flaxmilling industry as well as merchants waited on the Minister of Industries and Commerce to-day. The Minister of Labour was present seeking aid in the form of a subsidy on wages to enable the mills to continue in operation. The Minister gave an assurance that his department was anxious to foster Dominion industries. Ho would place their representations before Cabinet.
