SUPERANNUATED MEN'S PLEA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The annual report of the. Superannuated Public Servants’ Association states that-as the levy under the Unemployment Bill would include euperannuitants immediate application was. made to the Prime Minister and the. Minister of Labour for exemption from the proposed levy on the ground that it would lx; manifestly inequitable to tax those who by thrift had made even small provision for old age and possible infirmity while old-age pensioner,? were exempted. Many superannuitants were themselves “unemployed,” and their total incomes were far less than the rates fixed by the Arbitration' Court as minimum rates.
