The popularity of the euchre parties ' and dances under the auspices of the Huiakama School Committee was again shown on Friday night when between 60 and 70 were present at the sixth of the fortnightly series, visitors being present from Pohokura, Kiore and Strathmore. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. Morris, Mr. McAloon winning the men’s, and the consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs. Hamilton and ■ Mr, Jack O’Neill. Mr. J. Garlick and Mr. C-. Simmons supplied the music for the dance, . - Mrs. W. H. Robinson is the guest of Mrs. Barwick. Mr. J. Garlick, Wellington, has been spending a short holiday with his parents at Huiakama. Mrs. L. Kemp spent a short holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bottom, Wharehuia. Mr. D. Kemp has returned from a business trip to Auckland.
