JEWELLER DEAD IN SHOP
GAS TCBK FOUND IN MOUTH. Bv Teltjiftph.—Press As.-»ociatlon. Hamilton, Last Night. The. circumstances of the death of Lionel Joseph Bellve, 32 years of age, a jeweller in Victoria Stret, Hamilton, who was found dead in his shop yesterday, were investigated by the coroner to-day. It was shown in evidence that the body was found lying on a mattress on the floor with the end ot a gas tube in the mouth. Near the body was a rifle with a live cartridge in the breech and the trigged cocked. A note was found intimating the intention to commit suicide. Detective Whit<?, in evidence, stated that Bellve had been interviewed on Friday with an alleged crime which lie denied.
