EXAMINATION OF GUIDES
TESTS FOR CHILD NURSING. An examination for child nurse badges was held for Girl Guides recently, [n the following list of passes the names are mentioned in order of merit, the first guide having gained 100 per cent, and th'- next four 95 per cent, or over: D. Francis, A. Duckworth, E. Goodin, A. Aburn, M. Kelly,' N. Galvin, R. Jones, D. Scott. M. Bond. L. Pulford, S. Joll, M. Hookham. G. Charteris, G. Stevens, D. Barnitt, J. Scott, P. Furze, B. Duckworth, R. Hollis, V. Brett, E. Furze, J. Bretherton. J. Martin. The following gained the child nurse badge as well as the ambulance and sick badges on the Jellieoe test held recently: D. Riding, J Charteris, J. Riding and G. - oad.
To gain the child nurse badge the guides must know how •to look after, feed and clothe a baby and toddler. Before the examination the girls were given lecture by the Plunket nurse. Nurse Peterson, and Nurses Cartwright and Chandler conducted the examination.
