"Frost” (Awakino). —Water pipes burst during frosts because water expands when the temperature falls below 4deg. Centigrade. The water freezes at Odeg. Centigrade. Ab running water freezes less readily than still water, Laps that are left dripping during the night will not , burst except in severe frosts.
