VIEW' OF BOARD AND COMMITTEE. “The position in regard to the control of winter climbing on Mt. Eginont is very indefinite,” stated Mr. W. D. Armit, acting-chairman of the Egmont National Park Board, “though the board, by reason of the Egmont National Park Act,. has power to consider the form** tion of regulations and the whole matter will probably .be reviewed at next meetin nr of the board.” “The° North Committee,” stated Mr. G. Fraser, chairman, “is fully alive to the question and is obtaining reports frorii the chief guide, Mr. R. Larsen, and from- the Taranaki Alpine Club as to what should be done in connection with winter climbing. These reports will come before next meeting of the committee.”
