A final reminder is given of the Kaponga Amateur Theatrical Society’s production, “Princess of Poppyland,” which is to be presented in the Town Hall, Manaia, at eight o’clock To-niglit. The operetta is in three acts, and is bright and musical. The Society is donating paj;t of the proceeds to the Manaia Branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union. In view of the fact that the Women’s Division are just now assisting a very deserving case in the district, a-bumper house is anticipated. Miss Diana Fishwick, the 18-ycar-old player who recently ivon the British ladies’ golf championship, was congratu* lated by the High Commissioner, Sir Thomas Wilford, on behalf of the golf* ers of New Zealand.
