PRICE OF PETROL FIXED
RISE. OF TWOPENCE FROM TO-DAY New retail prices for petrol of 2s 2d a gallon for first grade .and 2s Id for second grade come into force In New Plymouth this morning. The price of bulk petrol has been raised 2d a gallon instead of the 3d a gallon increase which was expected. Case petrol has been raised 3d a gallon. The oil companies have advised the I New Plymouth retailers that the new j figures came in at midnight on Friday ’and operate as far as the public is ’cohejerned from this morning. </ r •• .•> * ■■.
