ENJOYABLE CONCERT
REGIMENTAL BAND PROGRAMME. The concert given in the New Ply* mouth Opera House last night by tjiC Taranaki Regimental Band, under th 4 conductorship of Lieut. F. W. G. Mei Leod, was attended by a large audience. The programme consisted of the following band numbers: March, “Jack o’ Lantern”; hymn, “Rimmington”; selection, ‘Trish Beauties”; waltz, “Scptembre”; “Painting the Clouds’, and “Tip. Toes Thru’ the Tulips”; hymn, “Bradford”; lullaby, “Alabama”; march, “Semper Fidelis.’ The band programme was interspersed with “Into Thy Hands,” baritone solo, Mr. J. Benson;‘ “The Trumpeter,” tenor solo, Mr. J. Quinn; “Prelude in C Sharp’* and “Meditation,” pianoforte solos, Mr. _ Doug. Armishaw; “Roadways,” “Two Old Tramps” and “Sally Horner,” tenor solos, Mr. J. Blake; “Morning, Noon and Night” and “Should I ?” xylophone solos, Mr. Jack Renton. The soloists were accompanied by Mr. Doug. Armishaw.
