At Hamilton (Ontario), running as a guest in the weekly twilight meet of the Hamilton Olympic Club on Friday night, Allan Hillnouse, of the Australian Empire Games’ team, won the three miles race in a stirring batt’e with Savidan, New Zealand. He bettered the Canadian record for the event, his time being 14min. 25 l-ssec. Golding, Australia, ran a quarter-niile in 50sec. He was place I second to Wheeler, of Hamilton, who had 30 yards handicap. . . . • ~ ~ .Australia and New Zealand arc anxious for Canadian iathletes to visit there in. December and January. The managers of the teams, stated on Friday that an effort would be made to secure the Olympic sprint chaqilpibn/ Williams, Ball, the quarter miler, Edwards, the half-miler, and others. ; ‘
