BRITISH TEAM IN WAIKATO

TO-DAY’S PLAYERS SELECTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, August 1. The British Rugby team arrived at Hamilton last night, when a c;vic reception was extended by the Mayor, councillors and representatives of the Rugby Union. Precautions have been taken to ensure the efficient control of the big crowd expected, and between 30 or 40 policemen will be on duty on the ground and approaches. Special trains will be run from- Rotorua and Te Kuiti. The team will go on to the Chateau Tongariro by special train from Hamilton at. 10.30 a'.m, on- Sunday.' The following British team has been selected to play the combined Waikato, King Country and Thames. Valley team here to-morrow: —, . .. Full-back: J. Bassett. During the day other members of the party will be the guests of the Hamilton Golf Club and will play on the St. Andrews’ links. The party will also he taken, to points of interest in the district.
