UNEMPLOYMENT TAXATION
PLEA MADE FOR EXEMPTION. By Telegraph.—Prea» Association. Wellington, Last Night. Exemption from unemployment taxation was asked for by a deputation from the Timber Growers’ Association which waited upon the Commissioner of State Forests, the Hon. E. A. Ransom, to-day. Members pointed out that the timber growers themselves were relieving unemployment. In reply the Minister said that while he could not commit the Government on a policy matter he would give theii any assistance he could.
