WORK OF DISTRICT NURSE
ACTIVITIES DURING MONTH. The past month has been a busy one in all branches of work, states the New Plymouth district nurse’s report. The number of new patients on the register was 20; discharged, 14; remaining,' 9; transferred to hospital, 1; visits to homes (treatments and advice), 126; inquiries, 128; charitable aid recipients, 22; telephone ■ calls. 119; clothing supplied to 12 families (339 articles). The association acknowledges the following gifts: Clothing, Mesdames T. V. Mackay, Hood, Dinniss, Newman, Honeyfield, A. Collins, Skinner, T. Hartnell, F. Coleman, Armit, Keeling, per Mrs. Skinner, per Mrs. Matthews, per Mrs. Mankelow and St. Mary’s,Hall; matting and floor rug, Mrs. W. Skinner; vegetables, Mrs. Reading; blankets, Mrs. Martin; bread, Mr. Aldie; cigarette cards and books, Erie Coleman; soup, delicacies, etc., Mesdames Newell, Skinner, E. Humphries, C. McLeod and Clarke. A splendid donation of hats from C. C- Ward and Co. was very acceptable. A very generous supply of sandwiches and cakes was given by the Caledonian Society per Mr. Corkill. Donations were received from Mrs, F. G. Evans and Miss Hempton.
