KAIN INTERFERES WITH PLAY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, July 22. Rain seriously interfered with county cricket games. Results are:— Nottingham v. Middlesex.—Nottingham in the first innings lost four for 348 and declared (Walker 165 not out, Pay ton DO) and in the second lost one for 30. Middlesex in the first made 174 (Voce took four for 47). Nottingham won on the first innings.' Lancashire v. Surrey.—Lancashire in the first innings made 242 (Gover took four wickets for 57). Surrey , did not bat and the match was abandoned. Gloucester v. Kent. —Gloucester in the first innings made 299 (Sinfield 87, Dacro 55; Freeman took five wickets for 107) and in the second lost four for 133. Kent in the first innings made 223 (Ashdown 83 not out, Woolley 65; Parker took five wickets for 63). Gloucester won on the. first innings. Essex v. Sussex.—Essex in the first innings made 362. (Pope 123, Russel 178; Bowley took five wickets for 90) and in the second made 279. Sussex in the first innings made 210 (H. Parkes 81, Williams 80 not out; Nichols took four wickets for 43) and in the second lost three for. 302 (Duleepsinhji 185 not out). Essex won on the first innings. Derby v.
